On Monday, December 18, 2017 at 7:00 p.m., Betty Torres, a 42-year-old Belizean conductress and resident of Unitedville, Cayo District made a police report. She reported that at 6:15 p.m. on the same date while she was working on a BBOC bus, two male persons got on the bus in Camalote Village.

One of the men pulled out what appeared to be a 9mm handgun. That man proceeded to point the gun at the driver and demanded the purse containing the money. As a result, Torres handed over the purse which contained just over two hundred dollars.

The culprit then fired a single shot inside the bus which hit just above the driver’s seat. They then both jumped off the bus and made good their escape. Police investigations continue.
