On December 18, 2017 at 7:11 p.m., police visited Moe’s Pizza Grill located 3 1/2 miles on the Phillip Goldson highway in Belize City. There, Sherman Sanker, a 43-year-old Belizean mason of the Gugulung area, was seen suffering from apparent stab wounds to the center of chest and left side of back.

Initial investigations revealed that at about 6:45 p.m., while Genevevo Chiac and Sherman Sanker were socializing at Moe’s Pizza Grill restaurant, they got into a misunderstanding. That misunderstanding resulted in Chiac inflicting said injuries to Sanker. He was transported to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where he is in a stable condition. Police investigations continue.
