Notorious George Street criminal figure, 31-year-old Brandon Tillett aka “BET”, is home after more than a week behind bars. Tillett was accused of assaulting his ex-common-law wife with a firearm during an incident in Burrell Boom Village.

Tillett was able to meet his $10,000 bail which was offered to him after the case against by his ex-common-law wife, Camillah Terry, was withdrawn when he appeared before Senior Magistrate Aretha Ford. A new charge of abetment to aggravated assault was read to him and he pleaded not guilty to that charge. Bail was offered to him by Supreme Court judge Antoinette Moore on Friday, January 12, 2018.

Tillett was ordered to report to the police station once a week effective Friday, January 19, 2018 and to appear in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court on February 2, 2018 and on any other adjournment date given to him. He must also stay away from the victim and not interfere with the complainant and or members of her family or any prosecution witnesses whether directly or indirectly. Tillett is not to be arrested or charged for any other offense while out on bail or his bail will be revoked.
