The National Agriculture and Trade Show (NATS) Committee, under the auspices of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Forestry, the Environment, Sustainable Development and Immigration, has informed the public that the National Agriculture and Trade Show 2018 will be held on April 27, 28 and 29. This year’s event will be celebrated under the theme “Let’s Get Growing”.

Preparation of the grounds is currently underway and the committee advises that the reservation and sale of concession stands, food stalls, open spots and commercial booths have commenced. The right of first refusal will be granted to 2017 leaseholders and as such those vendors will have until February 9, 2018 to confirm their desire to re-establish their booth leases by contacting NATS, making a deposit of payment and signing of Lease Agreement.

In terms of infrastructure and maintenance the grounds are now being kept open throughout the year in accordance with a five year development plan. According to Chief Agriculture Officer Andrew Harrison, one of the new trends is replacing wooden buildings with metals to enhance life span. To make the grounds more family friendly during the upcoming show, planners have designated zones within the grounds, limiting the selling of alcoholic drinks only to certain areas.

“For certain activities to happen, and that is to have an agricultural zone, which now is more visible and you can come to the fair and you can visit these areas to learn more about the agriculture sector, we have both crops and livestock, we have partners in development in that area that they will showcase whatever the new technology or information something like that but that is more concentrated  on the northern side of the grounds,” says Andrew Harrison.

Members of the public who would like information on booths can contact the National Agriculture and Trade Show (NATS) Headquarters NATS Grounds in Belmopan, Cayo District at Telephone number 623-0606 or by Email: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
