There was a murder in the western village of Roaring Creek. Just after 10:30 p.m., Roaring Creek police responded to a shooting incident in the yard of Kimberly Smith. Smith, who received injuries herself, reported that minutes before calling the police, she heard shots being fired in her yard in the Another World Area of Roaring Creek. Upon looking through her window to make checks, she saw two assailants in her yard. One of the men wielded a firearm and turned his attention to her.

That man fired several shots in her direction, most of which penetrated the wall of her wooden house. One bullet caught her in the back while her common-law husband, 31-year-old Thomas Henry, was shot to the chest. In the process of being transported to the Western Regional Hospital, Henry succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.

According to ACP, Joseph Myvett of NCIB, Police investigations have been launched in this incident. No motive has been established but so far, two persons have been detained.
