A towering metallic town clock built as a public and private sector partnership was unveiled last Friday in central Burns Avenue in San Ignacio Town. The Mayor of San Ignacio and Santa Elena Town, Earl Trapp Jr, officially inaugurated the town clock for the enjoyment by  residents at one of Belize’s prime tourist destinations.

Mayor Earl Trapp was grateful to both Bowen and Bowen as wells as TMM Media for having built a clock that will now provide a unique ambience to San Ignacio Town. He said that much more can be achieved into the future via collaborative efforts.

“We are committed to the further development of our Twin Towns as we continue to maintain the policy decisions by the Council. Our focus for the next three years will be through the continued collaboration with the business and private sector by working more closely with them for continual development and improvement of our communities,” he said.

It was a wonderful occasion to witness the adding of a town clock to the economic hub of San Ignacio. As has been described, it will be a constant reminder of how valuable time is as we venture into our daily activities.

Present at the clock opening ceremony was Town Administrator Karen Fernandez as well as Deputy Mayor Bernadette Fernandez. Bernz Mendez was the master of ceremonies at this most historic occasion.
