According to police, Lara and Zelaya, both of a San Pedro address, were seen suffering from apparent gunshot wounds around 3:30 a.m. Lara was seen suffering from gunshot wounds to the left side of his chest while Zelaya was grazed to her right upper back.

Initial police investigations revealed that both persons were travelling in a golf cart on Seaweed Street toward their house in the San Juan Area when they heard gunshots and realized that they had both been hit. They drove to the police station where they were transported to the polyclinic. Lara was airlifted to the KHMH where he was listed in a stable condition, treated, and released the following day. Zelaya received treatment at the polyclinic and was released the same day. Thus far, no motive has been established and San Pedro police are investigating the matter.

She was transported to the KHMH where she is listed in a stable condition. The person in her company escaped unhurt.

The scene was processed by the police and several expended shells of two different firearm calibers were found. Further investigations are being conducted to establish a motive and culprit.

The third shooting occurred minutes later in the Antelope Street extension. In this shooting, Eleck McKoy was walking when he was approached by a man who fired a single shot at him.
