In his letter to the Philippians Chapter 2, verses 12 and 13, the Apostle Paul wrote: “Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure.”

It is also written in James 1:22: “Be doers of the Word, and not hearers only. Otherwise, you are deceiving (fooling) yourselves.” James was teaching that anytime we choose to disobey, we miss out on knowing the truth.

Today, God is teaching us that He wants us to ask Him for His power, because all we need is hidden in us. When we read anything in the Bible, the power to obey is inside us, and as we pray about it with thanksgiving, it comes out of us so we can use it. It becomes our source of help when it is difficult to carry on. The Bible tells us to come to Jesus Christ as little children, because they never give up until they have achieved what they want. They do not accept The Word impossible, but if they have done it once then, no matter how long it takes the second time, they will keep trying.

This is to encourage ourselves that there are times when we may not obey perfectly, because of the people and things around us, but we have to keep on till we get it every time. Keep practicing obedience to the Word of God, our Bible, and it will become easy!
