Police officers formally arrested and charged one man for the horrific murder of Cresencia and Josefina Oh on Wednesday, January 31, 2018. That man is Wilmer Alexander Escobar, a 20-year-old laborer of an address in Bella Vista Village. Escobar was charged with two counts of murder, one for each sister. Escobar reportedly confessed to the murders and had the phones that belonged to the women in his possession. The motive of the crime appears to be robbery, rape, and murder.

The bodies of the Oh sisters were found after 10:30 p.m. on the night of Sunday, January 21, 2018. Police officers found the nude and slain bodies on a remote road in the village of San Jose in western Toledo. Josefina, 16, and Cresencia, 19, had attended a church service in the village, visited their brother, and were on their way back home when they were attacked.

Josefina and Cresencia suffered very large chop wounds and pieces of hair soaked in blood were found on the road where they were slain.
