The Roaring Creek murder of Thomas Henry has lead to the charging of three men. Those men are Tyler Herrera Cruz, Joseph Cadle, and Israel Cadle. Just after 10:30 p.m. on January 23, 2018, Roaring Creek police responded to a shooting incident in the yard of 31-year-old Kimberly Smith who reported that she heard shots being fired in her yard. Upon looking through her window, she saw two male persons, one of whom wielded a firearm. The men turned their direction to her and proceeded to shoot at her.

Most of those bullets would make their way through the walls of her wooden home. She was shot in the back while Henry, her 31-year-old common-law husband, was shot to the chest and pronounced dead once he arrived at the Western Regional Hospital.

Belmopan police charged Herrera Cruz and Joseph Cadle with the murder of Henry on Thursday, January 25, 2018. Cadle was additionally charged for the attempted murder of Kimberly Smith and Orlando Smith Jr., who police say was the intended target. Cadle was also charged with deadly means of harm of Kimberly Smith.

While Israel Cadle was not charged in connection to the murder, he was charged for possession of an unlicensed firearm which the police believe was the murder weapon.
