Oliver Peters, a 40-year-old inmate, who was already on remand at the Belize Central Prison awaiting his PI for a murder, has now picked up a new, lesser charge whilst behind bars. Police say that on Sunday, February 11, 2018, while inside the Belize Central Prison, they found Peters in possession of 10 grams of weed.

Peters was charged with drug trafficking with intent to supply given that the substance was found on the prison premises. In court, he pleaded not guilty to the charge but because he was already awaiting a trial, he could not be granted bail and was remanded back into custody until May 7, 2018.

On March 11, 2014, Peters was charged initially with attempted murder of his uncle, Thomas Ferguson Sr., who was stabbed on December 17, 2013.
