A gun related incident has landed four persons in court. The men, Alfred Williams, 33, Frank Smith, 33, Moses Conorquie, 37, and a 17-year-old minor appeared before Senior Magistrate Aretha Ford on Monday, February 26, 2018 to answer to two gun related charges.

The incident that landed them in court happened on Friday, February 23, 2018 when the four men were travelling in a Toyota Camry. They came to a checkpoint between miles 3 and 4 on the George Price Highway when a black .38 pistol with 12 rounds of ammunition were found under the front seat.

In court, Conorquie took the blame for the firearm saying that he hitched a ride with the other men. The men were oblivious that he had a gun on his person. He pled guilty to the charge and was sentenced to 3 years in prison, a reduction of 2 years because he pled guilty.
