Belize Elementary boys win National Primary Schools Volleyball championship Print E-mail

The 2017-2018 National Primary Schools Volleyball Championship came to an end on Friday 23rd February, 2018, at the Multi-Purpose Complex in Orange Walk Town.

In the boys’ championship game, Belize Elementary School representing the Belize District defeated San Marcos Roman Catholic School representing the Cayo District by the score of 25-21, 17-25 and 15-10 to capture the National Primary Schools Boys’ Volleyball title.

In the consolation game or the third place game played, Church of Christ School representing the Corozal District defeated Punta Gorda Methodist School representing the Toledo District by the score of 25-22 and 28-26.

In the first game of the boys’ semi-final round, San Marcos Roman Catholic School defeated Punta Gorda Methodist School by the score of 25-18 and 25-10 to gain the first spot in the finals.

In the second semi-final game, Belize Elementary School defeated Church of Christ School by the score of 25-18 and 25-8 to advance to the championship round.

In the first game of the boys’ championship, San Marcos Roman Catholic School defeated Church of Christ School representing the Corozal District by the score of 27-25 and 25-12.

In game two, Belize Elementary School defeated San Francisco Roman School representing the Orange Walk District by the score of 25-14 and 25-10.

In the third game of the day, Church of Christ defeated Silk Grass Methodist School representing the Stann Creek District by the score of 25-14, 21-25 and 15-9.

In game four, Punta Gorda Methodist School won over San Francisco Roman School by the score of 25-7 and 25-22.

In game five, San Marcos Roman Catholic School defeated Silk Grass Methodist School by the score of 25-10 and 25-15.

And in the sixth and final game of the regular competition, Belize Elementary School defeated Punta Gorda Methodist School by the score of 25-18 and 25-16.

At the end of the boys’ championship, Malcolm Murillo of Belize Elementary School was named the MVP of the championship.
