On Friday, March 9, 2018 at about 7:14 p.m., police visited the KHMH where they saw Jose Carlos Reyes, a 32-year-old Salvadoran warehouse attendant of an Antelope Street Extension address, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the foot.

Initial investigation revealed that earlier that night, Reyes took his daughters on Dolphin Street and while driving a Geo-Prizm car on South Creek, the vehicle experienced mechanical problems. Reyes got out of the car and was standing by the rear passenger door when a male person fired two shots in his direction. He was shot in the left foot by a male person that was standing on the other side of some bushes. He was admitted to the KHMH and later discharged. One suspect has since been detained for questioning. While a definite motive has not yet been established, it is suspected that Reyes was classified as someone of the Antelope Street Extension group. Police investigations continue.
