Mario Guerrero Sr., 64, the well-known business man and boat man from the company Guerrero’s Charters, was found dead at this home in Sunset Park. He was reportedly beaten to death with one of his own bar stools at his home. At this time, it is uncertain why he was killed, but his friends and family members have reason to suspect that his attacker may have wanted to steal from him.

Police say that on Sunday, March 25, at around 9:30 p.m., they visited the residence at #1234 Sunset Park. On their arrival, they found Guerrero’s body under a tent in his yard. He had suffered multiple injuries to the head and body. Beside him, they found the broken bar stool, which they believe was used as the weapon to beat him to death.

Sources tell the press that Guerrero, who operates his company from the Princess Ramada Hotel Pier, was seen on video surveillance socializing with several persons. He reportedly took two of those individuals with him back to his home. It is uncertain the reason for that, but it has been speculated that he went to his house to get more money so that he could go back out and enjoy a bit more socializing time.

Surveillance cameras at his home allegedly captured the entire murder on tape, and shows in detail how the men attacked him and clubbed him to death with the stool until it broke. They allegedly stole his phone and his keys, and the intention was allegedly to steal one of his vehicles in his yard. It is suspected that the men could not get the vehicle started, and so they left on foot. The only thing stolen from him were those 2 belongings, and it is believed that the men threw the phone away near to his house. Friends and family members canvassed the area around his Sunset Park home, but they have been unable to find this phone, even though it was still ringing at the time of the search.

Guerrero, who is the owner of the family boating company, Guerrero’s Charters, managed and operated a successful business which offered boat transportation for leisure or tour-related travel. At this time, his family has decided that they will not grant any comment to the press.

Police say that they are looking for 2 men who they believe can assist them in their investigation into Guerrero’s murder. One of the men is identified as Allen Russel Felix, 40 years of age. Interestingly Felix is a neighbor to Guerrero having his address listed as #60 Sunset Park, Western Paradise Village.
