The Belize Basketball Federation is being represented at the 2018 COCABA U-15 Championship in San Salvador, El Salvador, from April 11-15, 2018.

The U- 15 team, which is made up of twelve players and 3 officials, left the country on Tuesday 10th April for the games. The team is scheduled to play its first game against Panama on Wednesday.

The players on the team are: Franklin Andrews (Sacred Heart College), Marquest Arnold (Wesley College), Leroy Betson (St. Ignatius Primary School), Kyle Castillo (St. Ignatius Primary School), Trevaun Gamboa (Nazarene High School), Jaylen Faber (St. John’s College), Jalil Jex (Corozal Community College), Kimo Jolly (Mount Carmel High School), Izid Lopez (St. John’s College), Nikao Martinez (Florida, USA), Isaiah Pascual (Orange Walk Technical High School) and Charles Zabaneh (Stann Creek Ecumenical College).

Team Belize is in Group A along with Belize, Guatemala and Nicaragua. The countries in Group B are Costa Rica, Honduras and the host country El Salvador.

Team Belize’s Head Coach is Matthew Smiling and he will be assisted by Clinton “Pulu” Lightburn.
