On Thursday, April 12, 2018 at about 4:00 a.m., police conducted a search in an open lot located on G Street in Corozal Town. That search led to the discovery of a red Adidas tennis which contained 25 9mm live rounds, 2 Winchester 12-gauge cartridges, 5 Fiocchi 12-gauge cartridges, and 3 Aguila 12-gauge cartridges. Further search led to the discovery of a black plastic bag containing 109 grams cannabis. All ammunition and cannabis were labeled as found property.

Later that morning at about 9:45 a.m., police received some information and proceeded to the Thunder Bolt Dock on Nurse Shark Street in San Pedro Town. There they observed a brown box that had arrived on the Thunder Bolt Boat from Corozal. The box was sealed with yellow tape and had the name “Pipow”. Upon opening the box, the officers observed a green bag which contained two parcels inside, each wrapped with yellow tape, and a transparent plastic bag containing a white napkin with 5 green pills each with a heart design in the middle. The two parcels contained a total of 727 grams of cannabis. Both parcels were sealed and labeled as found property and the pills have been submitted for testing.

At around 6:45 p.m. that evening, police conducted a Vehicle Check Point at La Democracia Village where a search was conducted on a public bus on the way to Belize City. The search led to the discovery of a black plastic bag containing 410.9 grams of cannabis. The cannabis was sealed and labeled as found property since no one claimed ownership.

At 7:30 p.m. that same night, police conducted a search at an abandoned lot near the corner of Iguana and Bocotora streets in Caye Caulker. That search led to discovery of a black Glock 9mm Pistol and 1 black magazine containing 8 9mm live ammunition. No one was in the area at the time of the search. The firearm and ammunition were sealed and labeled as found property.
