Unitedville Rebels United wins again in Cayo Softball competition Print E-mail

The Cayo Softball Association Senior Women’s Competition continued on Sunday 15th April, at the Joan Garbutt Stadium in Esperanza Village.

In the first game of the day played, defending champions Unitedville Rebels United defeated the Esperanza Wolverines by the score of 16-0. The winning pitcher was Francince Salazar and the losing pitcher was Kimberlyn Ortega.

In the second game of the day, Belmopan Bandits edged out the former champion Roaring Creek Grace Kennedy by the score of 7-6.  The winning pitcher was Kenisha Sutherland and the losing pitcher was Leandra Guy.

In the third and final game of the day, the game between the Esperanza Wolverines and the Belmopan Capital City Emerald had to be called off because of the weather.

The competition will continue this coming Sunday 22nd April, with three games at the Mae Gordon Field in Belmopan.

In the first game scheduled for 11:30 am Belmopan Capital City Emeralds will go up against the Roaring Creek Grace Kennedy.

In game two, Belmopan Bandits will do battle with the Esperanza Wolverines, and in the final game of the day, the defending champions Unitedville Rebels United will go up against the host Belmopan Capital City Emeralds.
