Sheffield Brown in custody for burglary Print E-mail

Sheffield Brown, a 42-year-old resident of Jimmy Dyer Avenue off Faber’s Road and well-known criminal figure, is trying to post a ,000 bail after being accused of burglarizing a home. According to Brown, it is his home. Despite his claim, the allegations are that on April 8, 2018, he entered the home of Rosa Jacobs, located on Jimmy Dyer Avenue, and damaged a white aluminum louver window valued at 0.  He is also accused of entering the home of Jacobs and stealing three Bath and Body Works lotion valued at along with 0 cash.

In court, Brown appeared before Senior Magistrate Aretha Ford and pleaded not guilty to the charge of burglary.  There was no objection to bail and he was offered bail in the sum of $5,000 plus one surety and is due back in court on June 5, 2018.

He remains in custody as he tries to meet his bail amount. He is also on bail for an incident which occurred on January 25, 2018 when he was convicted of common assault and use of threatening words upon his son, a 13-year-old boy.
