On Wednesday April 18, 2018 at about 8:20 p.m., officers were conducting a foot patrol in Seine Bight Village. During this patrol, they discovered two black plastic bags containing cannabis on the street. The first parcel weighed 82.6 grams and the second parcel weighed 123.1 grams, both to a total weight of 205.7 grams. The parcels of cannabis were deposited as found property.

While conducting a mobile patrol on George Price Boulevard, Benque Veijo Town on April 22, police conducted a search on Bayron Manuel Jimenez Amaya, a 21-year-old Guatemalan laborer of Melchor de Mencos, Peten, Guatemala.  The search resulted in the discovery of 226.8 grams of cannabis. Police have since arrested and charged Amaya for the offence of drug trafficking.

Later that same morning, officers conducting a mobile patrol in the Lord’s Bank Junction area stopped and searched the passengers of a green Toyota 4Runner. The occupants of the vehicle were Keiron James, a 24-year-old laborer, and Tre Everett, a 21-year-old aero dispatcher, both of mile 13 on the Philip Goldson highway. The search led to the discovery of 90 grams of cannabis. Both persons were arrested and charged for the offence of drug trafficking.
