A shocking look was what William “Danny” Mason displayed at the ruling of his preliminary inquiry when it was decided that he and his employees would be standing trial at the Supreme Court. Mason along with his four employees, Ashton Vanegas of Camalote Village, brothers Keiron and Terrence Fernandez, and Ernest Henry Castillo, all of Roaring Creek Village, appeared before Senior Magistrate Merlene Moody in the Belmopan Magistrate Court.

All five accused will have to stand trial for the kidnapping of Lloyd Thiessen and his wife, both Mennonites. Mason and his employees were also previously committed to stand trial for the murder of Pastor Llewellyn Lucas, whose head was found inside a bucket in a vehicle allegedly driven by Mason. The remains of Pastor Lucas were found at Mason’s farm located at Mile 31 on the George Price Highway.
