The second edition of the Caribbean Culture and Lifestyle magazine was launched on Friday, May 11 and it highlights the cultural aspect of our Jewel, Belize. According to publisher and Creative Director at McNab Visual, Tanya McNab, the magazine contains everything one should do in different destinations. “It has everything from what you should do in different destinations and because we publish so often, you may see a San Pedro edition one time and you see a Cayo and out west another time. So, that is the only thing we have the opportunity to feature much more than we were in the past with just one and we have the opportunity five times.”

Besides featuring Belize as a travel destination, going forward, the magazine will highlight influential people who have since made a mark in the realm of tourism in Belize. For this edition, First Lady Kim Simplis Barrow is featured on the cover with an article “Cayo Gyal: First Lady, Kim Simplis Barrow Talks about Belize and Her Hometown out West.” Also featured in the magazine is a segment called Belief in the Reef, an article on conservation for which the magazine partnered with OCEANA to propagate information on responsible tourism.

The magazine, which is used locally and internationally to promote Belize as a travel and culture destination, goes to print five times for the year and can be found in hotels as well as in-flight on Maya Island Air flights. Besides the hard copy of the magazine, there are other social media and digital aspects which complement it.
