A car crash in Belize City has led to the death of a 52-year-old man. On Tuesday, May 22, 2018, minutes before 9:00 p.m., police responded to a report of a traffic accident. Upon arrival at the Central American Boulevard/Mahogany Street roundabout, the officers observed a Toyota Camry with its front portion extensively damaged.

In the car, the officers observed a man who was later identified as Rudolph Kelly Jr., a 52-year-old resident of 8 Miles. Kelly Jr. was seen suffering from two cut wounds to his left arm. It is not know if he received the injury to the arm as a result of the accident or if it was inflicted on him. It is also not known if the injury to the arm was the cause of his death.

Kelly was transported to the KHMH where his body awaits a post mortem to determine the cause of death.
