Hit and Run on Southern Highway leaves woman dead Print E-mail

Police in the Southern Formation are investigating a traffic accident that claimed the life of a woman on the Southern Highway.

At around 9:35 a.m., on Sunday May 20 they visited an area between miles 9 and 10 on the Southern Highway on the outskirts of Silk Grass Village, Stann Creek District. There they observed the body of a  female on the left side of the Highway when travelling in the direction of Hopkins Road junction. She was observed with  head and body injuries  and appeared to be dead. The body was later identified as, Rosita Requena, 37 year old, Belizean Domestic of Silk Grass Village.

Police are investigating this as a case of hit and run.
