At about 9:00 a.m. on May 27, 2018, police responded to a robbery at James Store on Jose Maria Nunez Street in Punta Gorda Town. Upon arrival, Huigiang Chen reported that while he was sleeping in his bedroom, his wife, Yanhi Huang, knocked on his room door. As he opened the door, two male persons armed with handguns entered his room, pointing their firearms at his wife’s head.

The men demanded money and his firearm and as a result, he handed over a plastic bag containing $20,000.00 in cash and his 9mm Beretta brand pistol along with a magazine containing 15 live 9mm rounds of ammunition valued $4,300.00.

The culprits then searched the store and took $300 in cash, 2 cell phones, and the camera machine, all to a total value of $31,300. Police are investigating.
