Milton Flores drilled a Keith Madrill pitch over the right field fence for a solo blast in the top of the 5th inning.The Belize City Male Softball Competition continued on Friday July 8, 2011, with 2 games on the schedule. In the first game played, Dantos blasted the Police by the score of 17-0 in four innings. Smart Dantos batting in the top of the 2nd inning sent 8 batters to the plate while scoring 5 runs on 2 hits.


The Smart Dantos team added another 4 runs in the top of the 3rd inning on 3 hits and 2 base-on-balls. The final blow to the Police squad came in the top of the 4th inning when Smart Dantos scored 8 more runs on just 6 hits.

The Smart Dantos offence was keyed by pitcher Garth Godoy who in helping his own cause collected 2 doubles in 4 official-at-bats.

Godoy who was the winning pitcher allowed only 1 infield hit in the game while striking out 6 batters. The losing pitcher for the Police was Brian Gentle.

In the second game of the evening, Team 313 with the recent addition of Jason Belisle to its roster upended the league’s leading Strikers by the score of 8-3. Team 313’s offence was keyed by pitcher Jason Belisle’s 2 solo blast in the 4th and 5th innings respectively, third baseman Patrick Rowland’s solo blast in the 3rd inning and catcher Milton Flores’ solo blast in the 5th inning.

Team 313 scored its 8 runs on 9 hits, while Strikers scores its 3 runs on 5 hits.

The winning pitcher was Jason Belisle and in the process he struck out 10 batters, while the losing pitcher was Keith Madrill.

On Sunday July 10, Oceana Pro’s won via the default route over the Police.
