Tyrone CrownLess than 48 hours after Giovanni Chi’s murder, two other working men were fatally shot in separate incidents. That man is Tyrone Crown, 38, of Louis Bevan’s Street, and Jorge Luis Estrada, another Belize City resident. The murders of these men remain a mystery, because the residents in the areas, have not been cooperative with police.

Residents of Caesar Ridge Road told the media that Crown was speaking to an unknown female resident at around 6 p.m. Saturday, August 20th, 2011 on Nurse White Crescent. He reportedly ended that conversation, and rode off on bicycle on Caesar Ridge Road to head home.

As he got to the corner of Caesar Ridge and Alan Pitts Crescent, two men ambushed him. One of the men, who was described as riding a small bicycle with the seat raised, and wearing a wave cap over his face, pulled out a firearm, and shot Crown multiple times, in two bursts. They then rode off and escaped, leaving Crown with fatal injuries.

He was rushed to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries. His family has steadfastly refused to give any comments to the media.

What has been reported about him is that he was a bodyworks mechanic who kept busy and out of trouble with the police.

3 hours later, Jorge Luis Estrada was found at the corner of King and George Streets. Estrada, a bartender of Old Belize Adventures, was found with 3 gunshot wounds to the head. He was rushed to the hospital, and he survived up until Monday, August 22nd, when he was diagnosed as brain dead. He later succumbed to his injuries at around 4 p.m. that evening.

Again his family has refused to comment to the media.

Police also are having problems solving this murder as well, due to lack of cooperation from the public. The Police Press Officer, Sergeant Fitzroy Yearwood, told the media that the evidence suggests that Estrada was shot with a weapon with some sort of silencing apparatus, or he was shot somewhere else and dumped in the area where he was found.

There are no known motives or suspects for these other two murders.
