Man arrested for Burglarizing room at Princess Print E-mail

Ryan CrawfordPolice have arrested and charged Ryan Crawford, 25, for burglarizing a room at Hotel Princess and Casino. He appeared in Magistrate’s court on Friday September 23rd where he was charged with one count of burglary for entering the room of Luis Gabriel Hernandez, a Columbian who was a guest at Room #532 at the Princess Hotel and Casino on July 31st.

During the burglary it was alleged that Hernandez’s digital camera valued at $200 US along with his laptop valued $800 US, along with his passport were stolen. The burglary had occurred between 8:00 and 8:45 a.m., on July 31st when someone gained entry into Hernandez’s room #532 and stole the items.

On August 1st, police found the stolen items at Crawford’s home.

When Hernandez appeared in Court he was unrepresented but pleaded not guilty to the charge.  He was offered  bail in the sum of $5,000 plus one surety of the same amount which he was unable to meet and was remanded to the Belize Central prison until he can do so.
