Wave Radio’s Punta Fest has successfully amped up Belizeans for the November 19th celebrations in grand style for the last two years and this year will be better than ever. The event will feature Belize’s Queen of Carnival, Ernestine Carballo, the General Supa G, Consego, Taprick, Titiman Flores, Lova Boy and Aziatic. Lova Boy and Aziatic appeared on Wave Radio and Wave TV on Wednesday, November 09th. Aziatic says he can’t wait to perform in Belize City once again. It has been more than a decade since his last appearance in the city and he promises to revisit the past and introduce the future of Garifuna music. Everyone knows how much Lova Boy loves to perform at home. He performs at home every opportunity he gets and gives the crowd his all. This Saturday he promises to bring “the real thing”.

Not to give them too much attention but the other crowd is having a regular old dance with guest performances from an upcoming foreigner and two local artists to save face. This is from the same radio crowd that keeps babbling about support for local talent. Everyone who ever attended such events before will promise you 45 to 60 minutes of live performances off CD players.

Instead, if you choose to support Belizean born artists, you will be treated with hours of live band performances from a list of Belize’s best with limited DJ interlude. Punta Fest is the place to be.
