Shooting and chopping at Western Paradise community Print E-mail

AngelThere was a shooting and chopping incident in the Western Paradise Community located at Mile 8 on the Western Highway which ended with two men being injured on Saturday, March 3.

At about 4:30p.m. on that day 33-year-old Roger Hernandez and his younger brother, allegedly attacked, 31-year-old Angel Dorado who were then shot at and then attacked by a group machete wielding individuals.     As a result of the incident, Dorado sustained chop wounds to his right arm, left arm and head, behind the neck area while, one of his attackers, identified as Roger Hernandez sustained injuries to his head and left hand.

 Both men were taken to the KHMH where they received treatment for their injuries. Hernadez was treated and released while Dorado remains at ward at the KHMH. The motive of the incident is said to have been over an old misunderstanding where it is alleged that Dorado had chopped Hernadez some years ago. Police investigations continue into this incident.
