The Premier League of Belize Football Competition continued over the last weekend with six games across the country.

On Sunday March 4, at the MCC Grounds in Belize City, the visiting Belize Defence Force and the home team FC Belize played to a 1-1 draw. The home team FC Belize got on the scoreboard first when David Ramos scored his team’s goal in the 19th minute of play. The goal was able to hold for almost the entire game.

Unfortunately, for FC Belize, the visiting Belize Defence Force’s artillery found in mark when Erwin Flores scored the equalizing goal in the 79th minute of play for the draw.

At the People’s Stadium in Orange Walk Town, Juventus blanked the visiting San Pedro Seadogs by the score of 4-0. The goals for Juventus were scored  by Freddy Tun in the 57th minute of play, Andrew Allen in the 72nd minute of play, Orvin Wade in the 86th minute of play and Oliver Hendricks in the 88th minute of play.

In the final game of the day played out at the Toledo Union Field in Punta Gorda Town, the host team Paradise/Freedom Fighters won its first game of this year’s campaign when it defeated Hankook Verdes by the score of 6-0. The goals for Paradise/Freedom Fighters were scored by Elio Ramirez in the 23rd and 54th minutes of play, and Alexander Peters in the 34th, 39th, 41st, and 55th minutes of play for the big victory.

The competition then continued on Saturday March 3, with three more games on the schedule. At the MCC Grounds in Belize City, the league’s leading Police United and the visiting San Ignacio United FC played to a 0-0 draw.

Out at the Norman Broaster Stadium in San Ignacio Town, World FC and San Felipe Barcelona also played to a 3-3 draw. The goals for World FC were scored by Belhem Guzman in the 15th minute, Joel Guzman in the 23rd minute and Joshua Richards in the 80th minutes of play, while the goals for the visiting San Felipe Barcelona were scored by Deris Benavides in the 39th and 4th minutes of play, and Eliazar Itza in the 49th minute of play.

Meanwhile, at the Isidoro Beaton Stadium in Belmopan the host team Belmopan Bandits and Placencia Assassins played to a 0-0 draw.
