The organization, along with the Diabetes Associations of Jamaica and Saint Lucia, has embarked on a project titled “Management of Diabetes in Youth”. The objectives of the project are to develop a children’s registry for the Caribbean region; to develop standardized protocols for the management of diabetes in youth; and to create support groups for children with diabetes and their families.

For the project to be successful, the Association invites the parents of children living with diabetes between the ages of 5 to 24 to visit its offices at the 2nd floor of the Commercial Center in Belize City to sign up for the registry. For those people who sign up the association, they are offered free diabetes monitors and strips.
