Dorian SutherlandDorian Sutherland, 24, appeared in Court on Friday, August 3rd to answer to charges of keeping ammunition without a gun license.

In court, Sutherland entered a not guilty plea. Due to the nature of the offence, he was denied bail and remanded to prison until September 11th.

Sutherland told the court that the police never found the ammunition on his person.

According to court records, Sutherland had an outstanding fine for a 2009 conviction relating to the possession of control led drugs.

Sutherland agreed to serve time for the default in payment of $250.  

According to police, on August 2nd, at around 10:00 a.m., police saw Sutherland on Linda Vista Street. Sutherland was caught throwing an object to the ground.

When police approached him, they found two 12- gauge cartridges lying on the ground. He was immediately arrested and taken to the Queen Street Police Station, where he was later charged for keeping ammunition without gun license.
