With that in mind, the City Emergency Management Organization (CEMO) held its regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, October 23rd at the Belize City Council's Conference room to keep committee members updated.

Each month, CEMO invites different organization to come in and do presentations on the roles and functions that they are responsible for in times of disaster. In this meeting, Lieutenant Gregory Soberanis presented on the Belize Coast Guard's function and its duty in the event of an emergency or disaster.
