Tanner Putt winner of 2nd Junior Tour of Belize and Julio Padilla of M&M Engineering finished second overallThe Belize Cycling Association Junior Tour got underway on Thursday August 6, 2009 and concluded on Sunday August 9. In the fourth and final stage of the Junior Tour of Belize, this stage was captured by Julio Padilla of M&M Engineering in a time of 4:06:22, 2nd place went to Lloyd Andrews of Team C-Ray’s in a time of 4:08:46, 3rd place went to Tanner Putt of USA South East Regional in a time of 4:09:38, 4th place went to Austin Armstrong of Vega Crystal in a time of 4:10:11, and 5th place went to Edward Reyes of Team Smart in a time of 4:10:11.

However, the overall winner of the Junior Tour of Belize is Tanner Putt of USA South East Regional and he completed the 4-stage course in a time of 11:32:07. Julio Padilla

of M&M Engineering finished second in a cumulative time of 11:32:25, 3rd place went to Edward Reyes of Team Smart in a time of 11:33:27, 4th place went to Austin Armstrong of Vega Crystal in a time of 11:35:15 and 5th place went to Cristian Quicibal of M&M Engineering in a time of 11:36:10.

The Junior Tour of Belize started off with the Individual Time Trial. In the first stage of the Tour, 35 riders participated in this portion. This leg started from mile 14 to Leslie’s Imports and was captured by Kristo Jorgenson of USA South East Regional. 2nd place went to Neal Forbes also of USA South East Regional, 3rd place went to Tanner Putt also of USA South East Regional, 4th place went to Edward Reyes of Team Smart and 5th place went to Erwin Middleton of Team Indeco.

The second stage was held on Friday August 7 and this stage started from in front of the Orange Walk Town Hall to Leslie’s Imports through the Boom Circuit. At the end of 2:59:24 it was Trevon Salazar of Team Indeco that took first place. 2nd place went to his team Kyle Gentle in a time of 2:59:27, 3rd place went to Austin Armstrong of Vega Crystal, 4th place went to Geon Hanson of Team Indeco and 5th place went to Edward Reyes of Team Smart.

The third stage was held on Saturday August 8 from in front Builders Hardware in Belmopan City to the Drums of My Fathers Monument in Dangriga Town and then returns to the Gap for the finish. Julio Padilla of M&M Engineering captured this stage, 2nd place went to Edward Reyes of Team Smart, 3rd place went to Tanner Putt of USA South East Regional, 4th place went to Austin Armstrong of Vega Crystal, and 5th place went to Cristian Quichbal of M&M Engineering.
