Charles Armstrong of Airport scored 12 points and grabbed 14 points against Atlantic BankThe Belize District Basketball Association U-23 and Firms Competition entered its playoff rounds on Friday, November 16th, 2012, at Bird’s Isle.

In the U-23 game played, Tuff E Nuff eliminated Tigersharks by the score of 73-64. The top scorers for Tuff E Nuff were Jamal Kelly with 29 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal; and Vinnie Garbutt with 16 points, 14 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal. Meanwhile, the top scorers for the Tigersharks were Winston Pratt with 30 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist and 6 steals; and Jaret Jones with 18 points, and 4 rebounds.
In the first game in the Firms Competition playoffs, Airport eliminated Atlantic Bank by the score of 48-47. The top scorers for the Airport were Paul Swasey with 18 points, 17 rebounds, and 2 steals; and Charles Armstrong with 12 points, 14 rebounds, and 3 assists. For the Atlantic Bank squad, the top scorers were Ervin Orosco with 22 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists and 4 steals, and Jermaine Tillett with 8 points, 20 rebounds, and a steal.

In the second game played, Port of Belize eliminated the Belize Bank by the score of 61-44. The top scorers for Port of Belize were Kent Franklin with 10 points, 3 rebounds; and Maxwell Nicholson and Leroy Forbes with 9 points each. Meanwhile, the top scorers for the Belize Bank were Troy Gabb with 14 points, and 3 rebounds; and Chris McGann and Dominique Guzman with 11 points each.

The playoffs will continue this coming Friday, November 23rd at 6:30 pm with the U-23 game between Bulldogs and Truckers followed by Firms playoffs at 8:00 between BWSL and Central Bank; and BTL and Bowen & Bowen.
