Brandon Baptist, Orel Leslie and Tyrone MeighanPolice have arrested and charged three men in connection with the killing of James Noralez, who was shot and killed at the corner of Faber's Road and the George Price Highway in Belize City on Friday, November 23rd.

On Monday, November 26th, police escorted businessman Orel Leslie, 27; Brandon Baptist, 27, Construction Worker of #6632 Police Street, and Tyrone Meighan, 19, unemployed of #27 Banak Street.

The trio appeared before Senior Magistrate, Sharon Frazer in Court #2 where Leslie was represented by Attorney, Ellis Arnold while Meighan was represented by Attorney, Bryan Neal. Baptist was unrepresented.

In court, the mothers of the three men were very emotional and crying for their sons, who were read the single charge of murder for the execution style killing of James Noralez, who was gunned down at the corner of Faber’s Road and the George Price Highway.

No plea was taken and due to the nature of the offenses, the three men were remanded to the Belize Central Prison until January 7th, 2013.

At 7:13 p.m., police responded to the Linda Vista area in the vicinity of Faber’s Road and the George Price Highway where they found the body of James Noralez, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, a total of 14 to the body. According to police, they found 7 S&B expended shells and a slug at the scene.

Noralez was pronounced dead on arrival at the KHMH at 8:17 p.m.

While the mothers were weeping for their sons who were remanded on murder charges, Tyrone Meighan resorted to violence when he picked up a plastic bottle and threw it a court reporter, who he said should not take his picture.

The three men are due back in Court #2 on January 7, 2013.
