John McAfeeJohn McAfee left Guatemala at La Aurora International Airport on an American Airlines commercial airplane seated in coach at 2:00p.m. on Wednesday, December 12th; his destination was Miami. The plane landed in the U.S. at 6 p.m. According to U.S. news reports, McAfee was escorted by federal authorities after he cleared customs and would not make any appearance in any public part of the terminal.

McAfee had been detained in Guatemala on Thursday last week after he entered into that country illegally; he was seeking asylum after he fabricated a story of being persecuted in Belize. That application was denied but he remained in detention by immigration authorities after which the Supreme Court ordered that he be released and expelled to the US.

McAfee entered Guatemala after he was being sought in Belize for the killing of fellow American national, Gregory Faull who was shot and killed in San Pedro on November 11th. McAfee was the victim's neighbor and police were seeking him for questioning in relation to the murder.
