VictorA Yamaha motorcycle was handed over on December 27th by the Cariddi Family to the Bullet Tree Falls Community in the Cayo District. The keys were handed over by Christopher Cariddi, a representative of the Cariddi Family, to Victor Pott, President of the Bullet Tree Falls Neighbourhood Watch Committee.

In a short ceremony at the grounds of the Bullet Tree Falls Community Centre, Victor Pott took the opportunity to thank Mary K. Cariddi and Family for making the donation of the motorcycle. Pott also thanked the San Ignacio Police Formation for the good working relations with the Bullet Tree Falls Community.

“We are going to continue working along with the police; I thank the police for working with us,” said Victor Pott.

The Bullet Tree Neighbourhood Watch Group was formed on August 3rd of this year and so far, it has trained three special constables. The seven member committee will be using the motorcycle to assist in the patrolling of the entire village of Bullet Tree Falls.

The motorcycle comes with fifty dollars per week fuel supply courtesy of the Cariddis. To keep the motorcycle in optimum function, the owners of the Bird of Paradise Farms will also conduct weekly maintenance.

The Cariddi Family has also promised donating a phone line to facilitate communication between the Bullet Tree Falls Police Station and San Ignacio Police.

Also present Thursday to witness the motorcycle transfer was Corporal Emil Bradley from the San Ignacio Police Formation. Cpl. Bradley reminded Bullet Tree Falls residents that all information received by the police from the community counts.

“I ask each and every one of you, when you have information... no information is too small or is not useful to the police.”

“Bullet Tree Fall is still peaceful compared to other places…thanks again to the Cariddi family for donating these items,” Corporal Bradley added.
