Minister of National Security Hon. John Saldivar hands over Two Vehicles and Ten Motorcycles to Police Department Print E-mail

Hon.Minister of National Security Hon. John Saldivar on Monday, January 7th, handed over two new Mahindra Pick-up Trucks and ten Meilun Brand motorcycles to the Belize Police Department.

The Cayo Formation (San Ignacio/ Santa Elena) received one of the new vehicles and Two motorcycles. The other vehicle went to the Stann Creek District Formation, which also received six motorcycles to be deployed to Dangriga, Pomona/Alta Vista, Valley Community, Hopkins, Intermediate Southern Formation (Independence Area) and Bella Vista. The Belize District, Eastern Division also got two additional motorcycles, one for Ladyville, the other for Hattieville.

Receiving the vehicles and motorcycles on behalf of the Police Department was outgoing Commissioner of Police David Henderson. Commissioner Designate, Allen Whylie was also on hand, as well as the Officer Commanding the Stann Creek Formation, Senior Superintendent Robert Mariano, and the Officer Commanding the Cayo Formation (San Ignacio/Santa Elena) Superintendent Ralph Moody.
The handover took place at the Police Department Headquarters in Belmopan.
