Minister Mark King celebrate with Lake-I mothersA never tiring area representative, Hon. Mark King, on Sunday May 12th hosted 125 mothers of the Lake Independence Constituency to a Mother's Day program. According to King, the mothers from the division were treated to food, gifts and pampering all in an effort to show that they are appreciated. King added that while it was not yet possible to host all mothers in his division to the program, he is working diligently to ensure that next year's program can accommodate as many as 500 mothers of the constituency.

King has proven to be a very active area representative that has been able  to serve his constituency not only during special occasions but throughout the entire year. He has been lobbying the Mayor of Belize City, Darrell Bradley for the construction of concrete streets in his division and the Mayor has been able to respond to those requests.  Alongside those road infrastructural developments, there have also been the placement of bus stops in the division as a result of King's lobbying efforts.
