This camp will continue to July 26, 2013 and comes as a result of a unity of many social partners.

These partners coming to the fore in assisting with the Cayo Summer Camp are the Police Department and the Ministries of Human Development, Education and Youth. Also assisting in this year’s events are the Belize Family Life Association, National Drug Abuse & Control Council, Pro-World Belize, Cornerstone Foundation and Help International.

As is traditional for the Summer Camps, speakers will be coming in from the different agencies to discuss issues of importance to children. Snacks are being provided in the morning and afternoon as well as lunch at midday.

Members of the Community Policing Unit at the San Ignacio Police Formation were present Monday to explain the ground rules and assist in the registration of children. For more information on the Summer Camp and to register, contact can be made with Police Officer, Jason Jones at 661-3849 or 804-2022.
