Unfortunately for Team Belize, at the end of the game, it was not able to muster the much needed win against Cuba to advance to the next round of play.  The Cuban team was hungry for the win and in the end it scored 4 goals against Belize to move onto the next round of play.

Cuba’s Ariel Martinez completed a hat trick against Team Belize when he scored three of Cuba’s four goals to give them the win and the eighth and final place into the quarter final round of Gold Cup 2013.

Ariel Martinez scored his 1st of 3 goals in the 37th minute of play to give Cuba the 1-0 lead that they took into the second half of the game. Martinez then scored his 2nd goal in the second half of the game for a 2-0 lead and then that lead was increased when he scored his 3rd and final goal of the game in the 84th minute of play to give his team a 3-0 lead.

The final goal of the game was scored by Jenier Marquez in stoppage time that gave Cuba the 4-0 victory and the final place in the quarter final round.
