Ebenezer Methodist and Queen St. Baptist win in primary schools Football competition Print E-mail

The Belize City Primary Schools Football competition continued over the week with a number of games played at the MCC Grounds.

On Tuesday, October 8, in the first of two boys’ games played, Ebenezer Methodist blanked St. Martin De Porres School by the score of 1-0. The only goal of the game was scored by Travis Flowers.

In the second game, Queen Street Baptist won over St. Ignatius School by the score of 2-0. The goals for Queen Street Baptist were scored by Masum Ahmed and Arthur Bailey.

The competition then continued on Monday, October 7, with two more games on the schedule. In the girls’ game played, Belize Elementary School defeated Queen Square Anglican School by the score of 7-0. The goals for Belize Elementary School were scored by Allyana Musa, Keila Oyuela (3), Juliana Ramos (2) and Kristin Musa.

In the boys’ game played, St. John Vianney edged Wesley Upper School by the score of 2-1. The goals for St. John Vianney were scored by Akeem Sutherland and Daniel Hemmans, while the only goal for Wesley Upper was scored by Herman Ciego.

On Friday, October 4, in the girls’ game, St. Luke Methodist won handily over Queen Square Anglican School by the score of 5-1. The goals for St. Luke Methodist School were scored by Shaunetta Guzman (3) and Destiny Dobson (2), while Natasha Davis scored the only goal of the game for Queen Square Anglican. 

In the boys’ game, Wesley Upper School won via the default route over St. Mary’s Primary School.

On Thursday, October 3, in the girls’ game, Belize Elementary School won over Ephesus SDA via the default route.

In the first of two games in the boys’ competition, Belize Elementary School blanked Ephesus SDA by the score of 2-0. The goals for Belize Elementary School were scored by Jonah Chebat and Ajani Vaughn. In the second boys’ game, James Garbutt SDA nipped Holy Redeemer School by the score of 2-1. The goals for James Garbutt SDA were scored by Denzel Estrada (2), while the goal for Holy Redeemer School was scored by Shamar Molina.

On Wednesday, October 2, there were three games on the schedule. All games were in the boys’ category. In the first game played, Unity Presbyterian whitewashed St. Ignatius School by the score of 1-0. The goal for Unity Presbyterian was scored by Shemar Bowen. In the second game, St. Martin De Porres won over Salvation Army School handily by the score of 6-0. The goals for St. Martin De Porres were scored by Michael Deshield (2), Glen Arzu (2) and Marquis Conorquie (2). And in the final game of the day, Queen Square Anglican and St.  John Vianney played to a 1-1 draw. The goal for Queen Square Anglican was scored by Steven Vernon while the goal for St. John Vianney was scored by Daniel Hemmans.
