The 2013-2014 Belize City Primary Schools Football competition is coming to a close at the MCC Grounds.

On Tuesday, October 22, there were three games played in the Quarter Final Round of the Boys’ competition. In the first game of the afternoon, St. Martin De Porres School eliminated Belize Elementary School by the score of 5-0. The goals for St. Martin De Porres were scored by Glen Arzu, Michael Deshield (2) and Marquis Conorquie (2).

 In game two, Ebenezer Methodist School eliminated Queen Square Anglican School by the score of 2-0. The goals for Ebenezer Methodist School were scored by Tyreek Muschamp and Bernard Bailey.

In the final game of the day, James Garbutt School eliminated St. Joseph by the score of 1-0. Victor Lopez scored the only goal of the game for James Garbutt Seventh Day Adventist School.

On Monday, October 21, the regular season came to an end. In the first of two games in the Boys’ competition, Belize Elementary School defeated James Garbutt Seventh Day Adventist School by the score of 2-0. The goals for Belize Elementary School were scored by Ajani Vaughn and Jonah Chebat.

In the second game, St. Martin De Porres won over St. Ignatius School via the default route.

The regular season then continued on Friday October 18, with two more games in the boys’ competition. In game one, Unity Presbyterian and Salvation Army played to a 0-0 draw.

And in the second game, Queen Square Anglican School and St. Joseph School played to a 2-2 draw.   The goals for Queen Square Anglican were scored by Kyle Samuels while the goals for St. Joseph were scored by Mario Galindo and Defferson Zuniga.

And on Thursday, October 17, in the first of two boys’ games played, Ebenezer Methodist School blanked Salvation Army School by the score of 3-0. All three goals for Ebenezer Methodist were scored by Tyreek Muschamp.

In the second game boys’ game, Belize Elementary School blanked Holy Redeemer School by the score of 1-0. The only goal of the game was scored by Ajani Vaughn.

And in the only girls’ game, Belize Elementary School and Holy Redeemer School played to a 0-0 draw.

The semi-final round will be played on Thursday October 24th commencing at 1:00 pm with game one between St. Martin De Porres and Ebenezer Methodist School, while game two will feature James Garbutt Seventh Day Adventist and St. Joseph.
The Belize City championship will be played on Friday, November 1, in both the girls and boys competition.
