Denay GillettOn Tuesday, November 5th, 29-year-old Denay Gillett was arraigned in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court where she was charged with one count of wounding upon 27-year-old Michelle Gordon, who was stabbed multiple times to the body.

She appeared before Magistrate Clive Lino where she pleaded not guilty to the charge and bail was offered to her in the sum of 3 thousand dollars plus one surety of the same amount which she met. She is to return to court on December 16th

According to a police report, acting upon information received, on Monday, November 4, at about 2:45 a.m., CIB personnel visited the KHMH where they saw 27-year-old Michelle Gordon, suffering from three apparent stab wounds to the left upper leg and one to the right upper leg.

Initial investigation revealed that Gordon was at a popular Cool Spot located on Lawrence Avenue in Belize City, socializing when she had an argument with one Denay Gill inside the club.  Minutes later, Gordon decided to go outside where she met Gillett who pulled out a knife and inflicted stab wounds to her body, causing her injuries.
Gordon was examined by a doctor who classified her injury as wounding.

Police say that they were handed over a black handle knife which was retrieved from the scene of the stabbing incident.
