Jerome James scores the winning goal for the Belmopan BanditsThe Belize Premier League Belikin Cup competition continued on Saturday, November 2nd, with three games across the country.

In the game played out at the Isidoro Beaton Stadium in Belmopan, the home team Police United and the visiting FC Belize played to a 1-1 draw. The visiting FC Belize got on the scoreboard first when Jarret Davis scored his team’s only goal of the game in the 15th minute of play to give his team a temporary 1-0 lead.

It was not until the second half of the game that the Police United team was able to get onto the scoreboard when Harrison Roaches scored the equalising goal for the 1-1 draw.

At the Marshalleck Stadium in Benque Viejo Town, the home boys Verdes FC blanked San Ignacio United FC by the score of 2-0.  The goals for Verdes FC were scored by Norman Pipersburgh in the 10th minute of play and Gilroy Thurton in the 62nd minute of play.

And in the final game of the day played out at the Carl Ramos Stadium in Dangriga Town, the Belmopan Bandits edged the Belize Defence Force by the score of 2-1.  The Belize Defence Force was able to get onto the scoreboard first when Vallan Symms scored the 1st goal of the game in the 22nd minute of play to give his team a temporary 1-0 lead.

The visiting Belmopan Bandits finally scored when Denmark Casey scored his team’s 1st goal of the game in the 47th minute of play to tie the score at 1-1. However, in the 76th minute of play, Jerome James scored the winning goal for the Belmopan Bandits that gave them the victory.
