The Belize City Primary Schools Basketball Competition continued on Tuesday, June 10, with three games at the Bird’s Isle.

In the girls’ competition played, St. John Vianney defeated Buttonwood Bay Nazarene by the score of 7-4. The top scorer for St. John Vianney was Jasmine Sanchez with 7 points.

In the first of three games in the boys’ competition, Caye Caulker Roman Catholic School defeated Queen Street Baptist School by the score of 22-14. The top scorers for Caye Caulker Roman Catholic were Jaden Williams with 8 points and Harrison Cadle with 5 points. For Queen Street Baptist School, the top scorers were Glenford Gillett with 5 points and Dennis Aranda with 4 points.

In game two, St. John Vianney School defeated Buttonwood Bay Nazarene by the score of 30-28. The top scorers for St. John Vianney were Faheem Elijio with 10 points and Jerric Jones with 8 points. Meanwhile, the top scorers for Buttonwood Bay Nazarene were Lawrence Sanchez and Edmond Flowers with 10 points each and Mark Estell with 6 points.

On Monday, June 9, in the first of two games played in the girls’ competition, Holy Redeemer School defeated Muslim Community School by the score of 12-6. The top scorers for Holy Redeemer were Zaria Jenkins and Nicole Neal with 4 points each. For Muslim Community, the top scorer was Shala Smith with 6 points.

In game two, Belize Elementary School defeated St. John’s Primary by the score of 13-4. The top scorer for Belize Elementary School was Allyana Musa with 10 points.

In the first game in the boys’ competition, Holy Redeemer School defeated Muslim Community School by the score of 31-4. The top scorers for Holy Redeemer School were James Saunders with 11 points, Luciano Novelo with 9 points, and Shakur Swift with 5 points.

In game two, Belize Elementary School defeated St. John’s Primary by the score of 30-29. The top scorers for Belize Elementary School were Kristian Swasey with 11 points, Edwin Quan with 8 points and Willie Chi scored 5 points. For St. John’s Primary, the top scorers were John Kelly with 15 points and Malcolm Waight with 8 points.

The competition then continued on Wednesday, June 4, 2014, five games on the schedule. In girls’ game one, Belize Elementary School defeated Calvary Temple School by the score of 13-1. The top scorers for Belize Elementary School were Allyana Musa with 5 points and Ashleigh Card with4 points, while Pauline Jex scored the only point of the game for Calvary Temple.

In game two, Holy Redeemer School defeated St. John Vianney by the score of 28-3. The top scorers for Holy Redeemer were Katrina Aguilar and Zaria Jenkins with 10 points each and Kelsie Moss contributed 6 points toward the win. For St. John Vianney, the top scorer was Jasmine Sanchez with 3 points.

The top scorers for Belize Elementary School were Kristian Swasey with 8 points, and Mohit Vanjani and Edwin Quan with 7 points each. For Calvary Temple School, the top scorer was Jordan Burns with 5 points.

In game two, Holy Redeemer School defeated St. John Vianney by the score of 19-8. The top scorers for Holy Redeemer were Luciano Novelo with 5 points, James Saunders and Shamar Molina with 4 points each. For St. John Vianney, the top scorer was Faheem Elijio with 4 points.

And in the final game of the day, St. Ignatius School defeated Grace Primary School by the score of 30-7. The top scorer for St. Ignatuis School was Victor Rodriguez with 14 points, while the top scorer for Grace Primary was Glenford Bermudez with 5 points.
