On Friday, July 18, fire ravaged through the homes of 4 families on Prince Street in the Albert Division. The families lost everything they owned and they appealed for assistance from the government. That assistance came quickly as councilor Philip Willoughby was first to mobilize under his portfolio in charge of the City Emergency Management Organization (CEMO). Through CEMO, resources from the National Emergency Management Organization were mobilized and on Wednesday, July 23rd, the 4 families that were affected received assistance to get them to start to normalize their lives.

Each of the families received relief items including first aid kits, mops, brooms, pots, a gas stove, a gas tank, clothes, mattresses and beddings.
