vegacup2.jpg - 102.92 KbThe 2014 Vega Cup Tournament continued on Sunday, August 24, with four games on the schedule out at the San Antonio Football Field in Orange Walk North.

In the first game played, Santa Cruz Jrs blanked Rising Stars by the score of 2-0. The goals for the Santa Cruz Jrs were scored by Ruviney Carillo in the 45th and 56th minutes of play.

In game two, Barrio Boys also blanked San Jose Pumas by the score of 2-0. The goals for the Barrio Boys were scored by Jesus Richards in the 8th minute of play and Zaim Cawich in the 90th minute of play.
In the third game of the afternoon, Jaguars United defeated Douglas United by the score of 6-1. The goals for Jaguars United were scored by Johnny Cardenas in the 2nd and 17th minutes of play, Luis Herrador in the 15th minute of play and Osmer Uk in the 46th minute of play.

Meanwhile, the only goal of the game for Douglas United was scored by Hilmer Martinez in the 82nd minute of play.

And in the final game of the afternoon, the host team San Antonio FC blanked Douglas Real Juve by the score of 6-0. The goals for San Antonio FC were scored by Shamir Duran in the 8th minute of play, Peter Canul in the 42nd minute of play, Edwin Urbina in the 73rd and 78th minutes of play and Doni Espejo in the 76th and 89th minutes of play.

The competition will continue this Sunday with four more games on the schedule.
